Bettws y Coed

Bettws y Coed: 27th October 2021

A waterproofs and umbrella day for sure. We drove through the rain through the mist covered Snowdonia hills to Bettws y Coed, where we were dropped off by the railway station, close by which they built a shopping centre. Normally, there’s a lot to see and do here, but you need better weather and more time.

The main attraction is the Swallow Falls, but they’re 5 km. away. There wasn’t enough time to go there; it was too wet, anyway. The signpost pointing the way there also has arms indicating the distance to some of the world’s other notable waterfalls.

So, all there is to do besides shopping is to cross the railway line to a rather dilapidated railway carriage converted to a café
