Portugal Pages

I have a ‘sort of’ rule. I don’t stick anything in my scrapbook until I’ve finished posting about a particular place in my blog. This week, I stuck in my ‘Portugal Stuff’, because I’ve reached the end of the Portugal posts.

So, what’s next? I haven’t been anywhere since I got back from Portugal. We had two postponements and three cancellations last year because of Covid, so don’t want to make any plans to go anywhere else until there’s a reasonable chance of it happening.

I’ll still keep the blog going. I still have the ‘alphabet posts’ to finish, and the other day, in a little frequented corner of my hard drive, I found a folder labelled ‘Old Stuff’. This consists mainly of material I’ve transferred from previous computers. There are articles from way back, which appeared in magazines which long ceased publication, or websites which have disappeared into cyber-black holes. There’s even some unpublished work there. Most of them date from a time before I opened the blog.

Until we can move again, then, I’ll put up a series of retrospectives. Please realise, though, that most of these were written 20 years ago, and things might have changed since then.

If nothing else, this will prove the worth for the old writers’ adage: ‘Never throw anything away!’

  1. So cool to discover your blog and read some of your posts related to Portugal, my country 🙂 stay safe and cheers from Lisbon 🙂 PedroL

    • We loved it! So happy to discover the Algarve isn’t all about beaches and golf courses. We will return when we are able; a server at the restaurant we frequented said she normally worked on the Douro cruise boats, and highly recommended them.

      • i’m sure you’ll have a great time when you return 🙂 cheers, PedroL

      • Yeah! Ever hopeful.

    • Sorry you’ve reached the end of your Portugal pages. Your photographs were really good and took me back to a country i really haven’t visited enough. Maybe soon, eh?

      • hopefully yeah eheh regards, PedroL

  2. Will be waiting to read more about your life and times at Portugal I’m always interested to read of life and experiences involving Portugal. I just did something on my experience from a Portuguese Colonised Goa along with a FREE recipe of Sorpotel an awesome Portuguese Delicacy, feel free to visit my post to check it out. Hope you like it as much as I liked yours.
