Could this be an omen? Just as I was reading the announcement of this week’s ‘Travel Theme’ topic, Roy Orbison singing It’s Over came on the radio. I immediately thought of flying over the Great Barrier Reef, as we left Cairns for Brisbane. But, I don’t have any pictures; I lost the game of ‘rock, paper, scissors’ for the window seat. I did, however, get a great view of ‘Greenland’s Icy Mountains’ as we flew over them on the way to Vancouver.
Or, how about this of (I think? … navigation’s a bit tricky when you don’t have any charts or instruments, and you’re in the passenger cabin) the Elbrus Mountains.
Coming down to earth, I think of bridges, viaducts, aqueducts … in fact, anything that ‘goes over’ …
