Stonehenge Lantern Procession: Video Experiment

Today, I’m going to try an experiment. I don’t know why I’m telling you this, because if it doesn’t work, you won’t see the result!

If it succeeded, you’ll see my video of the Solstice Lantern Procession at Stonehenge … which I uploaded to Facebook, but NOT to YouTube.

Fingers crossed!

  1. Hi Keith,
I have never heard of this before, all the lanterns looked great, do people make their own? It did seem like a bit of a long walk, it must of looked awesome to those in the cars going past.

    • This is the second year it’s been held; I didn’t take part last year, except just catching the end.

You can make your own lantern if you wish; most people bought a Chinese paper lantern which came with an LED torch. Mine fell apart halfway along, but I retained the torch, and will maybe adapt a candle lantern or something to take it next year.

  2. I really like this a lot. I ‘d love to organise something like it for next Christmas. It’s so nice and festive. Really captures the spirit of the season!
