Tarja Comes Home/Scilly Walk Video

The other day, I was in the Forge Gallery in Amesbury when Tarja returned home. Regular readers of my blog may remember that Tarja is the delicate metal sculpture, representing the Nordic fairy who bears the light through the darkest night of the year, and, for the last couple of months has been part of the ‘Angel Garden’ exhibition at Mottisfont.

She’s looking a bit weatherbeaten after so much time spent in the outdoors, but Andy and Michelle, her creators, say this is what they intended, and are very pleased with the effect. And, I was especially grateful to be invited down to Mottifont, and photograph her in more appropriate surroundings than had been possible up to then.

(If you haven’t already seen the picture, it’s at )

She’s taking her place as part of the ‘Solstice Exhibition’ at the Forge Gallery … some of my photos are on there, too.

What about Ireland? Isn’t Friday ‘Ireland Day’? Of course it is; here’s the ‘Scilly Walk’ video … I just couldn’t think of anything else to say about it that hasn’t been said already!

  1. Hi Keith,
Great video, looks really nice there, and great job capturing the butterflies as well. 🙂

  2. I loved this video. It is just such a lovely place. Your camera work just gets better and better!
