Time for a Sign

A Sign! Give us a Sign!

I haven’t posted anything in the Silly Signs for a long time; truth is, I’m getting close to the bottom of the barrel there. There’s potential; twice I’ve come across cars from driving schools … one from the Impact Driving School, the other offering ‘crash courses’. Unfortunately, on neither occasion did I have a camera with me.

This one, I took in France a couple of years ago. I know some people have a pretty low opinion of estate agents, but really … !!

It’s probably a perfectly ordinary name in France … but my mind went back over thirty years to Germany, when we had dealings with a forstmeister named … Dieter Dimshits! However (callow youth that we were then!) we managed to stifle the laughter till he was out of earshot.

Last week, I posted about my new article at http://www.justsaygo.com/archives/a-date-with-a-date.; no sooner had I posted it, than things kicked off in Tunisia … where we were considering going for our spring break! It was a great place to visit, and I hope it soon will be so again.

  1. Hi Keith,
You just have to laugh at some of the signs you see, and as you pointed out you usually see them when you haven’t got a camera with you.
Tunisia sounds like a wonderful place, I would love to go there, the History is so very interesting, and it seems a lot to explore there as well.

    • We liked it; there’s quite a few posts about our doings in Tunisia elsewhere in the blog. Someone we met described it as ‘something like Egypt, but cleaner and nicer’ … which is a pretty fair description. Most of the people we met were friendly and outgoing, and even the shopkeepers could take ‘no’ for an answer.

I’d go back in a heartbeat; there’s so much left that we DIDN’T see, do or taste!

  2. Tee hee hee! It’s difficult to suppress a laugh with that one!

  3. That guy would make a fortunate working in Sydney. It is, after all where agents answering to that appellation hang out. Hahaha.
