Thanks, Réné!

DSC_0228

We got back from the Road Trip late yesterday afternoon, and, as usual, I have a whole pile of notes, pictures, video and dirty washing to sort out … that’s after we’d had the coffee and the celebratory beer and barbecue.

Sorry I couldn’t post or tweet along the way, but we stayed at Travelodges, and their charges for wifi access are extortionate!

So, maybe the toast should  go, before I forget, to an unsung hero of the trip, who carried us uncomplainingly over 1600 miles, stopping to pick up and re-distribute various grandchildren along the way … my car ‘Réné’ !

Anyway, we’ve got entries about Edinburgh, the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall and Kenilworth to come. That’s after I’ve finished with the West Country. Which ought to keep me supplied with ‘stuff’ till I leave for Spain next month … and beyond!

  1. That’s quite a road trip, Keith!
Have you succumbed to Twitter? What’s your verdict?

    • My handle is @NomadKeith … and Twitter is rather like the ‘new Travelwriters.com’ … I’m following, and being followed by several members of the ‘old gang’. Just hope the trolls don’t get in and spoil it, like they did Travelwriters.

  2. I can’t wait to hear all about it. I particularly love the Lake District. Glad to hear you such a reliable friend in Rene!
