Llanos de Tormes

Today, I got something you don’t often get on a Vaughantown programme. Two hours’ free time!

That would have allowed me plenty of time to walk into Barco de Avila and back, but I chose to go the other way. You can see the village of Llanos de Tormes from the headland which is about as far as you can get in the time allowed for a normal ‘one to one’, and I’ve always wanted to go there to explore.

It was a lovely day, again … completely opposite of what was forecast. In spite of the snow on the hills, I’ve seen butterflies and lizards already, and I brought a suitcase full of sweaters and fleeces it looks like I’m not going to use.

  1. Looking forward to seeing some shots of the butterflies and lizards!!

    • I didn’t get any really good pictures, because they were too far away and too active to make for good photos or video. But, I’ll try again today … and, if that fails, I seem to remember a good oicture of a butterfly I took here last year.
