Found Some More Silly Signs

Every cloud, they say, has a silver lining. While my computer was in the repair shop, I fired up my old computer, which I keep in the spare bedroom for my grandchildren to play games on when they visit.

When I’d done my work, I had a cruise around the hard drive, to see what I could find. For starters, there were two unfinished articles that I might finish up and find a home for, but mainly, I found half-forgotten pictures. Some of them are candidates for ‘Pic of the Week’ … or rather, Pic of the Month this time, as I’ll be in France on the weekend of the 20th, and Spain for the two weekends after that.

But, best of all, I found some more Silly Signs! The first of them is posted here … they sure have some tall plane spotters in East Anglia. Although I do take a little issue with the wording:

‘The only place you’ll find a plane in the Royal Air Force is in the carpenter’s shop, Laddie! This is an Aircraft!!!

  2. Glad you found some long lost articles. Love the silly sign. I do like a bit of Plane Spotting. Thank God I’m within the height limit!

  3. In actual fact, most ‘plane spotters’ I know call themselves ‘aviation enthusiasts’, and some regard ‘spotter’ as an insult.

One such can’t understand why I don’t ‘take more of an interest’ … after 36 years of doing aviation for a living, believe me, it’s the last thing you want to take up for a hobby when you retire! 😀
