Sydney Bus Ride Video

I’ve got to point out that anything you see in this video is not necessarily in the order it’s encountered on the Open-Top Bus Tour … in fact, it’s a sort of pastiche of footage taken on two different days. But, I hope you like it, anyway.

Several people have come to visit the blog using the search engine phrase ‘Paddle Wheel Cruises, Sydney’. I didn’t actually come across such, but I did see a paddle-wheeler moored at Darling Harbour. Whether it’s just a floating restaurant, or whether it does actually offer cruises, I don’t know; I was on the other side of the harbour, and it was just starting to rain.

But, in a couple of weeks, I’ll be blogging, and posting some video about a paddle-boat cruise on the Nepean River.

If you haven’t yet seen enough of Sydney Harbour, can I point you at the TV series Water Rats, being broadcast on the FXUK channel here? OK, the acting’s not great, and the plotlines need to be taken with a large spoonful of salt, but it’s actually filmed in Sydney Harbour, and they can usually manage a shot of the Bridge and/or the Opera House.

Speaking of which, doesn’t Detective Holloway, in Water Rats remind you of Agent DiNozzo in NCIS? Apart from the fact that one’s Australian and the other American, they could be brothers. I think so, anyway …

  2. A friend of mine used to work on ‘Water Rats.’ She said it was one of the best series she’s ever worked on. I hate to admit that I never watched it. If I tell her she’ll be really mad at me.

  3. Last night’s episode showed ‘Frank’ and ‘Goldie’ having their lunch at Harry’s Café de Wheels. I’ll be posting about that place next week … I now wonder if that was a real policeman I photographed?

  4. Hi Keith,
I didn’t even know Sydney had a double decker bus, I have learned something new. Another nice video.

Sorry for the late response to your comment on my blog, but I have been out all day helping with the clean up. Last day for me.
