Blarney: 15th September 2011
Just to give you an idea … here’s the Blarney Stone from ground level; you can see the heads looking down the hole near the top of the tower. However, even without the Stone, Blarney Castle is still worth a visit, as you’ll see from the video.

Hi Keith,
That was fantastic, I really enjoyed your video, and you picked perfect music to go with it all.
I loved the poison garden sign.

It’s called ‘Skye Cuillin’ by Kevin MacLeod; I’m using it on all my Irish clips, so I will have some continuity when I get around to making the DVD.
Yes, I know Skye is in Scotland, but the music seemed so right; if you visit Kevin’s site (just click on ‘Music’ in my blogroll) you’ll find music to suit just about every mood and location.

Your videos are always very good. I like how you move around the subject and don’t just shoot from the one spot. It gives the viewer a really thorough experience. Now I want to kiss the blarney stone.

That’s one of the secrets … if you watch a good TV film, whether it be play, documentary or just two people sitting in a studio talking, you’ll rarely see a camera remaining static for long … generally, a clip doesn’t last more than 10 seconds before zooming in, zooming out ot changing angle altogether.
